Genuine Working Wyoming Ranch
We are proud to be a genuine working ranch where we raise cattle and breed horses. We love to show our guests our way of life and allow them to participate in ranch chores which can be anything from checking and moving cattle to collecting eggs each morning from the hens. The work on a ranch literally never ends so we are always doing something constructive or keeping the animals content!
Lodging
We offer our guests many different options for lodging! We can accommodate groups big and small and offer options for everyone whether you want to be submersed in the activity of the ranch or prefer a more secluded spot!
Events at the Ranch
An event facility like non other! Plenty of room for parking, guests and entertaining! All this in a one-of-a-kind venue with mountain views and country vibes in a beautiful location that offers all the amenities.
Wedding Venue
Wedding and Event destinations are few and far between in Wyoming, so we are pleased to present Cottonwood Creek Ranch to the public. With views of Laramie Peak as a ceremony backdrop, there's multiple locations for a storybook event. The reception area is large enough to accommodate larger groups and there's room for the wedding party to stay over for a weekend retreat. Complete with several reception and serving areas and ADA compliant bathrooms.
Trail Rides
Guided horseback riding through the beautiful foothills of the Laramie Mountains, across some creeks and varied terrain of buttes and prairie land. The horses live where we ride and are sure-footed, confident and gentle. Our guides are knowledgeable and enjoy sharing about the ranch with our guests.
Guest Amenities
Families can enjoy the on-site fishing pond and lake house. The pond is stocked with sport fish (throwback only) and has a floating dock across the water with a lake house complete with galley style faux kitchen, covered deck with lights, patio furnishings and propane fire pit. It's the best place on the ranch to enjoy the evenings!
Performance Horse Program
We have a performance horse program with some of the best cow and cutting horse bloodlines available. We hold ranch sorting clinics and practices every week when the weather is favorable. Events will be offered soon. We also have the facilities for boarding horses and will be offering conditioning (horse walker or some riding), basic rehabilitation, stall rest or bandage upkeep for injury treatment.
Fantastic Working Facilities
Functional and well-planned for the frigid temperatures and wind that come around in a western winter, the cattle working facilities are so nice to have. They include a double alley that leads up to a Silencer Chute or a bull fitting Chute. If just being inside isn't enough, there's also hot water, a vet lab and a camera system! We are spoiled now, but it's a good feeling knowing that a baby calf won't get frozen in a snowbank or that inadequate designs make a day longer than it should have been.

The livelihood of a working ranch stems from animal production and all of them are important. Some are just for being cute and some help us with ranch work, whether it be dogs, cats, llamas, cattle, horses or sheep.
