The ranch is perfectly located between Wheatland, Glendo and Guernsey and surrounded by historical sites and beautiful scenery. With access to I-25 right around the corner, exploring is easy. Dozens of tourist destinations are within easy drives of the ranch, and many more within a day drive .
Glendo State Park boasts an incredible 12,000 acre reservoir open to the public year round for recreation including swimming, boating, fishing and hiking.
Guernsey State Park offers activities for the whole family - swimming, hiking, boating and fishing are all options in the park. For the history buffs, the historic Guernsey Museum is also located on the gorunds!
Grayrocks Reservoir is a 3,500 acre reservoir with opportunity to swim, boat, fish, hike and hunt. There is also access to the Cottonwood Draw Wildlife Habitat through the recreation area.
Just outside of the town of Guernsey, the Oregon Trail was forced away from the river. Due to the nature of the terrain in the area, it is believed that every wagon that crossed the country through this area traveled this exact path.
The soft limestone along the North Platte River became a popular spot for travelers on the Oregon Trail to inscribe their names as they passed through the area. The earliest signatures date back to the 1820's.
Located just 50 miles away, in Douglas, The Pioneer Memorial Museum has one of the largest collections of historical memorabilia. Hours and days of operation vary depending on the season.
Wheatland Golf Course is a 9 hole, par 36, course located a short drive from the ranch. The course has a full proshop in the club house and offers refreshments.
Cinema West Theater is located in the heart of Wheatland, and is known for its friendly service, and great prices.
Fort Laramie began as a fur trading post in 1834, but over the course of the 1800's became the largest military post on the Northern Plains. Today visitors get taken back to the 1800's as they tour the site and interact with staff clothed in period dress.
Laramie Peak offers phenominal views to hikers. The trail is 4.2 miles and has about 2,500 feet of elevation gain.
This cute little ranch town, located just 20 minutes from the ranch is decorated with beautiful murals around down town. Check out the shops, local history and the brewery on Main Street!
Guernsey is located just a short drive from the ranch. This cool little town is filled with history and all sorts of opportunity for the outdoor adventurist!
Hartville is one of the oldest incorporated towns in Wyoming! Many of the original buildings still stand today!
Just 50 miles away, the town of Douglas has loads of history, tons of cute shops and great restaurants!
Cheyenne is located just 90 miles south of the ranch. There is something for everyone in Cheyenne - great shopping, historical museums, great breweries and awesome restaurants, not to mention the famous Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo during July!
Fort Collins, located just 130 miles south, is a fun town filled with so much to do. Home to the famous Budweiser Brewery and New Belgium Brewery, Colorado State University and a historical downtown, the whole family will enjoy this town!
Denver is home to fun for the whole family and only 190 miles away! Between the museums, Denver Zoo, the aquarium, Rockies Stadium, events at Mile High Stadium, restaurants,and breweries, you're bound to enjoy Denver!
