Pam and Ron are both Wyoming raised, with deep roots in the state and its ranching way of life. Pam spent much of her life on her family’s homesteads, ranching and helping her parents welcome and care for guests. Ron is a true jack-of-all-trades who especially enjoys welding, guiding hunts and cooking.
When the opportunity arose to consolidate their ranching operations together at Cottonwood Creek Ranch, they couldn’t pass it up. In the spring of 2023, they moved their operations to this beautiful property and began the next chapter of their ranching story.
Today, Pam and Ron are excited about all the possibilities Cottonwood Creek Ranch has to offer—from raising livestock and horses to hosting weddings, events and overnight guests. Most of all, they look forward to sharing the ranch, the Wyoming landscape and their way of life with those who come to visit.
We are proud to be a genuine Wyoming working ranch. Cottonwood Creek Ranch runs approximately 300 head of commercial cattle along with a small herd of miniature cattle. Our minis have a variety of futures—some are raised as mini bucking bulls, while others are halter-broke and sold as unique pets or companion animals.
We also raise AQHA Quarter Horses and APHA Paint Horses from some of the industry’s most respected cow horse and performance bloodlines. Our breeding program focuses on producing quality, athletic horses with the ability and disposition to become competitive cow horse prospects as well as dependable ranch horses.
Ranching isn’t something we put on for visitors—it’s what we do every day. We love sharing that experience with our guests and invite those who are interested to join us when opportunities arise. Depending on the day and season, that might mean helping with morning feeding, gathering or moving cattle, checking water tanks, collecting eggs or tagging along for one of the many other jobs that keep a working ranch running.
No two days are exactly alike, and that’s part of what makes staying at Cottonwood Creek Ranch a true Wyoming ranch experience.
